💭 About "Kuromi-dake"

Kuromi-dake is one of Yakushima's three great peaks (Miyanouradake, Nagatadake, Kuromi-dake). Rising to 1,831 meters — the sixth highest peak in Kyushu — it is also counted among the 100 great mountains of Kyushu. This wallet echoes the quiet gray of the granite summit, and the deep stillness the mountain's name carries.

Kyo deer leather comes from sika deer of Kyoto. Given new form rather than wasted, each piece carries a quiet story. We call it "Kyo deer leather" — an original name by ariga-to.

Each piece is hand-sewn, one stitch at a time, at our atelier in Yakushima. The result is a finish that is both refined and enduring.
